The Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Bathinda (Punjab) was established in 2008 by the Department of Tourism, Government of Punjab. It is affiliated to National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (An apex Body under Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India), Noida. The IHM is a hotel management college located in Bathinda,Punjab. The IHM,Bathinda offers Degree, Diploma and Short term courses for the students.These are professional courses which enable students to be self sufficient and confident. After doing these courses the students are well groomed for the hotel & tourism industry.
Bathinda was named after the Bhati Rajput Kings, is one of the oldest cities in Punjab. Bathinda is one of the biggest food grain and cotton markets in Northern India. The railway station of Bathinda is one of the largest junctions in the country. It is also considered one of the leading cities in Punjab for education with close to sixty educational institutions in and around the district. In the Malwa region it is considered to be the largest industrial township and is known for Oil Refineries, NFL, Thermal plants. The History of Bathinda is linked with Razia Sultan, Quila Mubarak and her imprisonment here . The city has an old world charm with all modern facilities such as malls, shopping centers, international fast food outlets, three star hotels and many such modern amenities.
